Come into my garden

Early mornings in the garden, while everyone is still asleep is the best time to get my mind in order for the day. The plan may change many times, but the time to plan & think is something I treasure. When the New York winter makes it seem like spring will never arrive, I think of these early morning garden walks as I eagerly await the first signs of spring. My daughter Kyra gave me a stepping stone inscribed with " An hour in the garden put lifes problems in perspective..." I think she knows me well...

  2. Isn't it wonderful in the garden early in the morning with a nice cup of tea and the birds doing their thing?

  3. I wish I had a garden, almost everything I planted has been scorched by our intense heat and sun here on our island : ( And as for birds, well at least I can enjoy our sparrows and oh yes yesterday I was overjoyed to hear a different song...it came from some kind of parakeet...I tried to caputure it on camera but by the time I went inside for it, it was gone. Very unusual, probably it must have been a pet that found its freedom!
What lovely pictures DSG and definitely that's a great saying! You have a very thoughtful DD : )
    Blessings

  5. What a beautiful garden! We have had a drought here for most of the summer so I am struggling to get anything to live!

  6. I really love my time outdoors in the garden. Something about digging, pulling, picking is soothing & uncomplicated. And if something dosent work out as planned, there's always next year. Life should be like a garden! I think you don't have to look too far back in my family history to find a Sicilian peasant who was happiest on the land.

  7. Doreen & JoyDeVivre Design: I'll happily send you some of our rain. Been a rainy wet summer here. Many gaden plants drowned or with fungus & mildew diseases. A happy medium would be lovely, but I guess we have to live with what we get!
